LATVIA-LITUANIA-ESTONIA • BALTIC VOICES

This CD is devoted in priority to the most ancient traditions of Baltic folk singing: wedding songs, work songs, seasonal ritual songs mainly held and performed by women. Latvian monodies and two-part singing, three-part counterpoint from Lituania, dissonant polyphonies of the Estonian Setu,  this vanishing heritage has been collected between 1920 and 1990 among its last  holders.
