VENEZUELA • ARPA TUYERA ET BUCHE

The Venezuelian music for harps is a mingled folk heritage of the Spanish baroque music. Two traditions still exist nowadays : the Arpa llanera from the south and the Arpa tuyera. The Arpa tuyera from the Tuy valley offers a great intimacy and recalls its classical origins. This CD has been recorded in Miranda and Caracas by two groups of musicians who still perform in the traditional context of the Tuy Valley.
